Obituary

Born: December 13, 1996 Died: December 18, 2014 Our family was blessed to have had sixteen years with a wonderful, loyal and loving Jack Russell Terrier, Charlie. Having to let him go was unbelievably difficult. We cherish our last few hours with him as we watched him enjoy some of his favorite activities. He was surrounded by love as he went to his final rest. He was hand-picked from a litter of pups in Tishhomingo, Oklahoma by Grandpa Kell. He immediately captured our hearts when we first met him. We tried to train Charlie but he had no desire to learn a repertoire of "tricks" or any manners. Charlie was content with sit, stay, roll over, beg and speak as his tricks. He just wanted to be with us, not entertain us. He was very sensitive. He did not like fireworks or thunderstorms. Charlie lived for two years in Oklahoma making friends with everyone he encountered as he was Grandpa's constant companion. After Grandpa died, Charlie moved to Muskegon, Michigan for the last sixteen years of his life where he was the ruler of the Kell household and friend to Philip, Judy, Josh and Liz. Charlie was a true Jack Russell Terrier and was content in every situation. He loved being inside with family, outside enjoying nature, traveling in the car, visiting new locations, etc. He taught us so much about enjoying life's simple pleasures and unconditional love. Some of him favorite things were: sitting in the sun, swimming in the pool to "save the kids," rolling in the grass, "dragging" the family for walks, watching and chasing the birds and squirrels with no regard to his personal safety, riding in the car with his paws on the dashboard, chasing balls and anything that moved. Whenever anyone visited our home, Charlie felt obligated to bark and get as much attention as he could by jumping on our unsuspecting guests. Charlie was a constant companion and friend. He sat with us when we were ill and sad. He brought us great joy and comfort. He will be truly missed but our memories of him will last forever.
